Artist statement

I am a visual artist, predominately work with collage but also dabble in photography, painting and photoshop. My artworks contain strong, evoking images and intense feelings. I like to describe my works as spontaneous, sculptural and abstract .

Sometimes I utilise photography and digital tools to manipulate the images for collage. I work with print media, paint, oil pastels and spray paint.

My techniques and skills show that I’m inspired by the use of vivid and tonal colour schemes and I use them throughout my artworks to represent different ideas. I use both vivid, dark and textural colours repeatedly in my collages to create an increased emotional impact on my viewers.

My main purpose in my art practice is to stop the stigma with people who are Neurodivergent and people who are diagnosed with mental health . I hope by expressing my own experience of mental illness and being neuro divergent through my works will help dispel myths and encourage others to do the same.
